Flow and species transport
CFD addresses liquid and gas flow in pipes, valves, vessels, filters and reactors. Mixing, residence time, phase interfaces or particle transport can be added as required.
Thermal processes
Heating, cooling, heat exchange and reaction require consistent energy and species balances. Wall conduction and external losses may be included.
Flow-induced loads
Pressure fields, pulsation or thermal gradients can be transferred to a structural model to assess deformation, stress and fatigue in the plant context.
