Model setup
Components are represented with appropriate solid, shell, beam or contact elements. Material model, joints, supports and load introduction define the load path.
Static assessment
Static analyses evaluate stress, deformation, contact force and margins under defined load combinations.
- Self-weight and operating loads
- Pressure and distributed loads
- Bolted and welded joints
- Linear and nonlinear contact
Stability and model checks
Thin-walled structures may require eigenvalue or nonlinear buckling analysis. Mesh, boundary conditions and singularities are reviewed in relation to the design decision.
